Temple Heights, Northport, Maine

Northport is located south of Belfast and north of Camden and Lincolnville Beach on Penobscot Bay in the mid-coast region of Maine.

Use 228 Shore Road, Temple Heights, Northport, Maine 04849 on your GPS. This brings you across the street from the us. You'll be in front of the camp, at the bottom of the hill, on Shore Road. 


Nickawa Lodge sits at the top of the hill. Take either High St. or Park St. from Shore Road up the hill. Look for 2 large white buildings from Shore Road; the Temple and Nickawa Lodge with the yellow sunflower sign. Parking is available in in front of Nickawa Lodge and Temple. Our handicap accessible entrance and parking is on the south side of Nickawa Lodge, drive to the left when facing the lodge. 


FROM THE SOUTH / Scenic Route 

Take I-295 / I-95 North to Exit 28 for Brunswick/Coastal Route.  Take US 1 north through Bath, Rockland and Camden.  6 miles past the blinking light in Lincolnville Beach and the Islesboro Ferry Terminal, bear right onto Shore Rd. at the sign for the Temple Heights Spiritual Camp.  Go 1.1 miles and the camp is the left.  Look for 2 large white buildings on the hillside.  Take either Park St. or High St. up the hill.


FROM THE NORTH / Faster Route

Take I-95/Maine Turnpike to Exit 113 just north of Augusta.  Pick up Route 3 in Augusta East to Belfast.  In Belfast take Rte. 1 south 3.6 miles, turn left (at the Bay Side Store) on to Bayside Rd., George St. or Shore Rd., all three roads are the same road. Temple Heights Spiritual Camp is 5.7 miles on the right. 


If you miss Shore Rd. continue south on Rte. 1 (7.4 miles) turn left onto Saturday Cove Rd. at Pizza Permare .  At the stop sign turn left onto Shore Rd., pass Saturday Cove and the camp is one mile on the left.  Turn left on Park St. or High St. up the hill.  Look for 2 large white buildings on the hillside.  There is a parking lot in front of the Nickawa Lodge and Temple.
